TAYLOR & GIRISH

Taylor & Girish are a husband-wife indie folk duo based in Oxford. Having been recently interviewed and featured on BBC Introducing Oxfordshire & Berkshire, they are currently working on their debut EP ‘You Never Can Tell’ due to be released later this year.

Like all true artists, their music reflects their lives. Vasu Girish, a scientist from India with a master’s in biological engineering and Adam Taylor, a jazz musician from the U.K. met by chance in the Netherlands and from then formed a musical world which incorporates the richness of their story.

Their sound is a unique, rootsy blend of genres including folk, blues and bluegrass, with tight harmonies and intricate guitar work. Their music equally draws from the singer-songwriter lineage of the 60’s and 70’s; artists such as Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Paul Simon as it does from the modern writers such as Phoebe Bridgers, Ben Howard and Laura Marling.
